December Pack Meeting A Hit (using pie of course)

Our December Winter Holiday Pack Meeting was a great success. The boys who brought in the most money to support the pack through popcorn sales got to through pies in the face of their leaders, everyone built a gingerbread house, and we collected a large pile of toys for kids in need!

Carols for Seniors

Please join Pack 61 on one of our most heartwarming outings of the year: singing holiday carols to the Seniors at “Sunrise Senior Living” in Belmont. Many of the senior citizens at Sunrise have limited mobility, and they depend upon the holiday coming to them. They are consistently appreciative and grateful to our boys during these annual visits, and the boys have an opportunity to make some folks genuinely happy.

For more information, and to register so we know who’s coming, go to the event. Caroling for Seniors

Rain Gutter Regatta – Nov 18

boats

It may be fall but sailboats will be racing. The next Pack Meeting is the bi-annual Cub Scout Rain Gutter Regatta.

Everyone should have their boats and be building away. Quick tip: glue the sail so it doesn’t pivot.

Calling All Cub Scouts! All Aboard!

Registration for new and returning Scouts is well underway, although it’s still not too late to join.  Popcorn sales are gearing up, and the year’s schedule is posted here.  It must be getting near time for our first Pack Meeting.  We’re looking forward to seeing you a bit before 7:00 on Friday the 23rd at Sandpiper’s Community Center.  Please remember to bring a spare Halloween costume you might happen to have on hand to donate to underprivileged kids.  Come early to have a little fun (ok, a lot of fun) with Water Rockets during gathering time.
